Background and aim : Placenta is a mirror of gestational life.It is a vital organ of maintenance of pregnancy.Pregnancy induced hypertension [PIH] is a maj or cause of maternal & fetal mortality in the developing countries.The aim of present study is to study histological changes of PIH placenta and to citronella horse shampoo correlate it with foetal outcome.
Material & methods: The present study was carried out on 50 normal and 50 PIH placentae.Histological assessment of placentae was done.The histological findings were correlated with fetal outcome.The results were analysed statistically by using z-test and SPSS 17.
